Doug Lansky has been all over the world and has naturally accumulated a vast number of stories. One of his hobbies is to collect funny business signs from all over the world.

In addition Doug is a global miscommunications expert and an experienced speaker. Doug has been to over 120 countries around the world while writing a weekly syndicated column for The Chicago Tribune, and has more recently contributed features and a weekly column to The Guardian newspaper.

Doug Lansky has two very different, unique lectures. The Art of Miscommunication is a laugh-out-loud business presentation combined with insightful analysis. It showcases Doug’s vast collection of funny business signs from around the world, which have been also become two bestselling books for Lonely Planet. His other lecture, Get Lost, is a presentation about adjusting your mindset to travel better – to get more back from the experience than just a picture of yourself in front of every famous attraction. How to meet locals in a natural, unforced way, how to travel more safely and how to save money along the way.
